This year the PromAdvice.com team worked with one of L.A.’s hottest young celebrity stylists, Nanette Sullano, to pull together dozens of stylish Prom looks. Whether a teen’s style is edgy or elegant, PromAdvice.com is the place to start the search for the perfect dress.

It’s all about inspiration! Prom ’06 is the chance to show off a creative style vibe. From feminine, flirty Prom Princess frocks to the dark drama of Victorian Goth gowns, each look is uniquely cutting edge. PromAdvice makes finding the perfect Prom dress a lot easier than finding the perfect date.

PromAdvice.com features dozens of great dresses divided into six exciting themes (including Plus Sizes) from the hottest (and hautest) trends for ’06. Here’s an overview of the trends we’ll be spotlighting:

Top Trends for Prom 2006:

1. Victorian Goth: Make a cameo in the Jane Eyre jet set. Black is back and there’s no better way to worship it than in Victorian-era inspired finery. From bows and bustles to ruffles and lace, going Goth has never been more glamorous.

2. Eclectic Chic: Embellish your story with exotic detail. Dare to be different. We’ve discovered some chic little numbers that we’re sure you’re going to flip over. Flaunt your creative side in frivolous patterns, bold beads, and quirky colors.

3. Drama Queen: The spotlight beckons. Ready to make your entrance? Give free reign to your inner drama queen in elegant gowns that deserve to take center stage. Strike a pose with bold color, classic silhouettes, and glamorous details.

4. Prom Princess: Crown your look with flirty femininity. Want to feel like a princess on Prom night? It’s easier than you think. Cast a timeless spell in flowing feminine frocks, pleasing pastels, and flattering florals.

5. Flashback Fever: Got an attitude? Strut your stuff. What better way to show off some dance-tastic moves than by stepping out in sixties and seventies-inspired looks? Get a groove on in fabulous faux fur or pay homage to the mod movement in an iconic Edie Sedgewick-style shift.

6. Curvy Grrrl: Flattery will get you everywhere. Plus Size (14 and up) can take their cue from the glamorous movie stars of the 1950s and flatter their girlish figure with sophistication and style. Maximize drama and minimize your waist with solid colors that elongate from head to toe.

Plus: Our “Style Icon” and “Reel Inspiration” tips provide a pop culture perspective for 2006’s most exciting trends.

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) June 10, 2008

Getting a luxurious, golden brown tan has never been faster and healthier. Tampa-based Bikini Kitchen introduces Booty Butter, a healthy new sun tan lotion. With all-natural ingredients from the islands of Hawaii, this tanning lotion expedites your tan as it protects and nourishes the skin. An accelerated tanning process, Booty Butter blends 100% pure Hawaiian Kona Coffee Extract, Aloe Vera, Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil and light mineral oil to create a delicious recipe that bronzes your skin and keeps it moisturized.

A key ingredient, the Hawaiian Kona Coffee Extract gives Booty Butter its rich brown color that simultaneously speeds up your tan and protects your skin from harmful sun damage. Studies prove that when applied topically to the skin, caffeine prevents the occurrence of skin cancer caused by UV radiation. The “best tanning lotion” now available, Booty Butter is not just the solution for faster tanning, it is equally the perfect addition to your skin care regimen. It includes antioxidant vitamins A, E & C which when applied topically create a healthy combination. Vitamin A helps to form new blood vessels which give the skin an attractive rosy glow. Vitamin C fends against damage caused by the sun, while Vitamin E protects the epidermis from early stages of ultraviolet light damage and reduces the severity of sunburn.

“With Booty Butter your whole body will shimmer an awesome brown in about an hour,” said Karrie Pettit, founder of Bikini Kitchen. “If your skin is extra-sensitive to UV rays, you can use Booty Butter with any other type of sunscreen and still see great results quickly.”

Bikini Kitchen is proud to share that this exciting, new tanning lotion contains no chemicals or artificial dyes and there is absolutely no animal testing. Booty Butter is bug repellent and water-resistant which keeps insects at bay and saves you from wasteful re-applications. Also, you don’t have to be outdoors to get a gorgeous tan. This recipe for perfectly brown buns produces exceptional results at indoor tanning beds. You will also smell as appetizing as you look. Booty Butter has a scrumptious mocha scent laced with an aroma of delectable sugar cookies.

Booty Butter reflects Bikini Kitchen’s commitment to creating recipes for innovative products for healthy fun in the sun. Priced at $ 29.95 for an 8 ounce bottle, Booty Butter is available now and can be purchased direct at http://www.BikiniKitchen.com.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) April 8, 2010

“Booty Bean Bags are the chair of choice for a new generation of style-conscious people who reject the idea of straight-laced, straight-back seating options,” says Nathan Welch. Welch is the owner of The Man Chair Company, the North Carolina-based furniture producer and manufacturer of Booty Bean Bags, now being offered at a new, just-for-booties web site. The bean bags come in a variety of geometric and free-form shapes, including squares, circles, and the traditional slouchy bean bag.

“Our bean bags are designed for style and comfort,” Welch remarks. “They’re the perfect choice for any body and any booty.”

Welch notes that the body-friendly, eye-appealing chairs are perfect for sitting, sleeping, lounging, and a variety of other 21st Century activities. “Our goal is for Booty Bean Bags to become the gotta-have-it furniture for fashionable homes and apartments, as well as style-driven business offices where work and fun are not mutually exclusive.”

The Better Booty

Most agree that the bean bag chair was born in 1969, when the ‘Sacco’ was launched by the Zanotta Company in Italy. The pear-shaped ‘Sacs’ were made of leather and filled with Styrofoam pellets. “According to rumor, the idea for the Sac was more accident than inspiration,” reveals Welch. “It’s believed that the designers had their ‘light-bulb’ moment after a factory worker sat on a bag of discarded polystyrene pellets that had been used as packaging.”

In the 70’s, the bean bag chair was an icon of fashionable home seating when people wanted to get down and get funky in furniture that was hip, young, and fun. But the bean bag chair fell out of favor when it was mass-produced with inferior vinyl that stuck to your skin and low-density bean filling that collapsed after about a month of use. “In the 80’s and 90’s, the only butt that got near a bean bag was the butt of a joke,” laughs Welch.

Today things have changed. “Booty Bean Bags have all the best features of a traditional bean bag chair, but we’ve updated them for style and comfort,” says Welch. He notes that Booty Bean Bag chairs are made in the U.S.A., filled with comfortable, long-lasting shredded memory foam, and covered in luxuriously soft microfiber or microsuede in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Ménage-a-Chair

Traditionally bean bag chairs were intended as seating for one. Booty Bean Bags expand on that concept with a variety of seating options that accommodate multiple booties. The over-sized versions of the Insider (Membership for up to Three), Chofa for Three and Sac Back (Three’s a Crowd), which can all accommodate up to three people.

“With our larger chairs, everyone can enjoy the best seat in the house,” says Welch.

Baby Loves Booty and Vice Versa

Booty Bean Bags are extremely popular with men, but women are fans, too. “Women love the way they can snuggle into one of our chairs,” says Welch. “It’s like a furniture hug.” Since ‘seeing is believing,’ the site showcases a Booty Babe of the Month, where a fashionable woman lounges comfortably in a bean bag chair and ‘bares all’ in a quirky, revealing ten-question interview.

“Our Booty Babe of the Month is a perfect symbol of our product line,” says Welch. “Like our chairs, she’s smart, fashionable, and very nice to look at.”

Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag

The chairs in the Booty Bean Bags online catalogue come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors that compliment a wide range of eclectic styles. The company also offers accessories such as ottomans and ‘props.’ Props are head and full-body pillows that can be propped or placed “behind your head, under your arm, between your knees, or any way you wish to enhance your comfort,” reports Welch.

“Booty Bean Bags aren’t the cheap vinyl bean bag of the last century,” says Welch emphatically. “In 2010, papa…and mama, too…have got a brand new bag.”

Oakland, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2009

The Marsh, a breeding ground for new performance, is pleased to present Don Reed’s EAST 14th – True Tales of A Reluctant Player. In the spirit of John Leguizamo’s “Freak,” Sarah Jones “Bridge And Tunnel” and Whoopi Goldberg’s “Whoppi,” comes this hilarious solo show chronicling the true tale of a young man raised by his mother and ultra-strict step-father as a middle class, straight A, God-fearing church boy. The boy, however, wanted to be just like his dear old Dad. Too bad he didn’t know dear old Dad was a pimp. Very funny, definitely poignant – a ride down a street you won’t soon forget.

EAST 14th – True Tales of A Reluctant Player, opens for a limited engagement at The Marsh on May 8, 2009 and runs through June 14. The official opening night is Sunday, May 16. Weekend show times are Friday at 8:00 pm, Saturday at 8:30 pm and a Sunday matinee at 3:00 pm.

THE MARSH is located at 1062 Valencia Street, near 22nd street in the Mission District of San Francisco. Tickets are now on sale by calling Brown Paper Tickets, a 24/7 ticketing hotline, at 1-800-838-3006, or by visiting http://www.themarsh.org. All seating for this performance is first-come, first-served. For more information, visit http://www.east14th.com or http://www.themarsh.org.

The play is set in Oakland, CA in the 1970′s. Reed’s father was super talented, cool as hell and very funny. He would say the most outrageous stuff, whether it was sexually charged or just a good old fashioned diss. He played the congos and was offered to travel with well-known bands. But he had never learned to read and felt he might be required to interpret a hotel bill or something – thus risking his “cool.” So he let his dream pass. And for a while – got caught up in “The Life.”

He had three sons. Darrell was really focused on digging women. He LOVED women. ALL of them, and he became a beautician – a very good one – so he could be around them all the time. “You know somethin’ – every guy doin’ hair in that shop is gay” he used to say. Then he smiled like a wolf in a hen house and said, “But, I’m not.” Although a womanizer, he was deeply generous. Darrell would literally give anyone in need his very last dollar. His other brother, Tony, was a study in effeminate elegance and assassin level self-defense. Tony could whoop ANYBODY in the neighborhood and accordingly stomped the stereotype of “the weak gay man” to bits.

Reed himself was called Blinky because he had the habit of blinking his eyes. He remembers doing it on the bus ride all the way over to visit his father on Sundays. Sometimes his father wouldn’t be there – but he’d leave the door unlocked and Reed would get one of Darrell’s jackets out of the closet. Then he’d walk to the corner store, get a pint of Carnation Strawberry Ice Cream and coolly walk “The Stroll,” pretending to be older. And the street walkers would ask, “Why you blinkin’ like that?” then interject –”Wanna date baby?” And he’d say, after taking a spoonful of the delicious strawberry magic: “I could buy some if I wanted to – but I don’t want to.”

EAST 14TH – True Tales of a Reluctant Player ran the entire summer of 2008 Off Broadway in New York City. It was a double nominee – Best Actor and Best Playwright – for the 2008 NAACP THEATRE AWARDS – as well as a nominee for 2008 Best Solo Performance for the Audelco “Viv” Awards. Here’s what some of the critics had to say about EAST 14TH – True Tales of a Reluctant Player, during its 2008 Off-Broadway run:

“Hilarious. The audience can’t stop laughing…Don Reed plays all the characters with both ease and inexhaustible energy” – THE NEW YORKER
“A graceful genial performer…It’s hard not to love 1970′s funk and soul and Don Reed.” – NEW YORK TIMES
“GO! “Most amazing, however, is that between all the laughs, Reed sneaks in a poignant yarn…” – LA WEEKLY
